Jillian Santora is a fiber artist born in New Jersey and based in Chicago, Illinois. Jillian attended Ocean County College before transferring to School of the Art Institute of Chicago, where she earned her BFA in Fiber and Material Studies in 2017. Jillian turns to slow and natural processes to create textile-based work that probe intersections of the domestic, gender, and chronic illness through handwork and craft, specifically interested in the parallels between fabric manipulation and dysfunctional bodies. She's an archive enthusiast and a strong advocate for disability diversity inclusion.
